Africa 2022-23 training project: from theory to practice!

From 15 to 25 July 2022, 29 trainees took part in the very first training session for francophone Africa in Cotonou (see “July 2022, Cotonou session: a great success” ). In 2023, we move on to the practical phase of their training, with each of the national teams being called upon to organise a healing of memories workshop in their own country over the next few months. Trainers from Luxembourg and South Africa will travel to Burkina Faso in May, Togo and Benin in July, and Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal in November-December to assist these teams in organising and leading their workshops. Given the current security problems in Mali and the DRC, the trainees from those countries will be invited to join the teams in Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal respectively to co-facilitate their workshops.

You are invited to watch three videos produced during the Cotonou 2022 session:

Brief Benin national TV report on the opening of the session

Film (22 minutes) on the session as a whole

Film (17 minutes) of a mime-drama “Scènes de vie”, designed as a working tool (emotional trigger) for healing of memories workshops and performed by actors from the Cotonou International Drama School
